Cowboy's Prayer
My Gracious and Heavenly Father I've paused never mindful of the many blessings you bestow upon me. I never wanted any special favors, Lord. I never asked to draw around a chute-fighting horse. Or to never break a barrier; Nor for all daylight runs, or to not draw a steer that won't lay. I've only asked that when I've made this last ride up yonder, Where the grass grows lush, green and stirrup high, That you as my last judge will tell me my entry fees are paid in full.
