Stanley S. Schulz, age 81, Conde, died peacefully at his home near Conde on Monday morning, December 10, 2018 with family at his side.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10AM in the Conde United Methodist Church with Pastor Brandon Dunham officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Conde Cemetery. The pianist at the services will be Joan Fahrenwald. There will be congregational singing. There will be no visitation.

He was born Stanley Samuel Schulz at Buffalo Lake, MN on May 1, 1937, the son of Ralph William Samuel and Evelyn (Johnson) Schulz. He attended local schools and at the age of 12 the family moved to South Dakota where he continued his schooling.

In 1955, Stanley joined the United States Navy and served his county honorably until October of 1959.

On June 13, 1957 he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Zeck. The couple lived on the farm in Warren Township after their marriage. Some of the places the couple lived were at Kadoka, Hot Springs, New Brighton, MN and in the fall of 1972, moved into Conde. In 1978 they returned to the farm where Stanley grew up in Warren Township and lived there until her death on November 19, 1995. Stanley has continued to live on the farm since that time.

Over the years Stanley worked construction, worked at Honeywell in the Twin Cities area, owned and operated the Conde Sinclair and then farmed as well.

He has served on the Warren Township Board as Treasurer and also was a Past Commander of the Conde American Legion Post #148. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and visiting.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Shirley, a brother, James "Jim" Schulz and in-laws, Robert & Darrell Zeck.

Survivors include his children, Jay (JoAnn) Schulz of Milbank, Joey (Darla) Schulz of Independence, IA, and Shelley Schulz of Bloomer, WI, grandchildren, Stan, Lydia, Zach, Makaela, Nathan, Elijah, and Jonathan and great-grandchildren, Madison, Kaydence, Sammy, Lillianna, and Garrett. He is also survived by sisters, Jeanette (Glen) Loterbauer of Webster and Judy (Brad) Bailey of Salem; in-laws, James (Judy) Zeck of Conde, Lyla (Russell) Dewey of Webster, and Pat (Austin) Schiley of Lily, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
