Shirley Loy Siebrands, loving wife and mother of 3 children, passed away at Edgewood Assisted Living at 84 years of age on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 10AM at the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with Pastor Dick Poppen officiating.  Burial will be in the Collins Cemetery in Willow Lake.  Following the services in the chapel, coffee and cookies will be available.

Shirley was born October 5, 1937 in Clark County to Charles Edward and Lola (LaBore) Fisher, and grew up in rural Willow Lake. She graduated from Willow Lake High School May, 1955.

After graduation Shirley moved to Watertown and worked at the Farmers and Merchants Bank. She then married high school sweetheart, George Siebrands June 23, 1956 and made Willow Lake their home. The couple farmed land North of Willow Lake where their family grew over the years with 2 children, Kevin and Kim. There was a fire and they moved into Willow Lake on the South side of town where they had another child, Kurtis.

Shirley was employed at Parkview Care Center in Bryant for many years. She then worked at the Willow Lake School in the kitchen for several years.

Shirley loved to have a garden where she grew many varieties of vegetables which she canned for future meals. She loved to cook and host family get-togethers. Her skills in the kitchen were the highlight of the holiday season amongst her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking meals for the pheasant hunters that came for 40 years from Wisconsin.

She was very active in her church, attending services, bible study and did the weekly cleaning of the church. Her bible was very important to her and she read it faithfully.

Shirley was also a member of the Willow Lake Lioness club for many years.

She is survived by her 3 children, Kevin (Deb) of Watertown, Kim (John) Cypher of Willow Lake, and Kurtis (Bonnie) Siebrands of Willow Lake, 7 Grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, and her sister Doris Meyer of Arlington, MN. One niece and nephew, as well as several great nieces and nephews, and her sister –law Ruth (Del) Brown of Wall Lake.

Shirley is preceded in death by her spouse, George, her parents, Charles Edward and Lola, and great grandchild Lily.
