Sherry Ann Alderson, 67, Clark, died at her home in Clark on Friday evening, October 15, 2010 after a brief illness. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 7PM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with Pastor Donna Nickels officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no visitation. She was born on November 23, 1942 near Kansas City, the daughter of William and Emma Ruth (Stencel) Brown. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado where she graduated from West High. During the years of her life, Sherry had lived in various communities in South Dakota among them being Bradley and Bryant. She has lived in an apartment in Clark for several years. Over her lifetime Sherry has worked in area restaurants and lounges, the Red Seal Potato Chip Factory, area potato growers in Clark County, McCain Foods in Clark and had worked at Community Oil Gas Plus in recent years. Sherry enjoyed visiting, crocheting/needle work, cross stitch and computer games. She also spent time doing crafts, word search games and some gardening in younger years. In years past she also enjoyed bowling, horseback riding and roller skating. Another favorite of hers was going to rummage and auction sales. She always had a smile and a good laugh in her. Survivors include daughters, Annette Wilson and Brenda Wilson both of Woodland Park, CO and a son, Darwin Plumb of Denver, CO, 4 grandchildren and a great grandson. Preceding her in death were her parents and two siblings at their birth. Arrangements are with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark were there is an on-line registry at www.furnessfuneralhome.com
