Sheri Whitted

Sheri Whitted, age 56, of Huron, died Friday, January 29, 2021, with family by her side.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 1, 2021, at 11:30 AM at Collins Cemetery in Willow Lake, SD with Pastor Rosanne Anderson presiding.

Sheri Whitted was born on July 1, 1964, in Spearfish, SD. At age five, she attended the Crippled Children's School and Hospital for ten years. At that time, she moved to Wyoming with her parents Carol (Gross) and Merlin Whitted. She attended various facilities in Wyoming. In 2001, Sheri moved to Huron, SD and enrolled in the Huron Area Center for Independence and remained there until her passing. Her parents were living in Willow Lake at the time where Merlin was Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Willow Lake.

Sheri loved music and had memorized hundreds of songs which she loved to sing. She loved jewelry, make-up and board games, especially Connect Four. Sheri liked to go shopping, out for meals and going to the movies.

Preceding Sheri in death were her parents, Carol and Merlin Whitted.

Her survivors include her siblings, Shelda (Michael) Hook of Hawarden, IA, Rene (Derrick) Dunlap of Crescent Valley, NV, Gene (Donna) Whitted of Gillette, WY, and Lucy(Marvin) Schofield of Medicine Bow, WY; several nieces and nephews; and a special aunt and uncle, Nerine and John Gross of Sturgis, SD.
