Ronald Lee Audus

Ronald Lee "Ron" Audus, age 67, Belle Fourche/Sturgis area, formerly of Bradley, died as the result of a vehicle accident on Tuesday morning, north of Sturgis, SD.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Bradley Community Center at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at the Prairie Hill Cemetery of Bradley. There will be no visitation.

He was born Ronald Lee Audus on March 6, 1949 in Watertown, SD, the son of James and Edith (LeCount) Audus. Ron as he became known to many, attended school in Bradley. His father died when he was seven years old. Ron, sister Charlene, and his brothers Larry, Virgil, Jerry, and Darwin worked side by side to keep the fires burning and the bills paid. He began working at Merkel's Service learning a lot about engines. He then worked for Nelson Produce in Bradley for many years before working for Kusler's Service and SD Wheat Growers at Aberdeen. Ron was a working man's WORKER.

In 2008, Ron married Lisa Ann Harms in Huron. They traveled the entire United States trucking to deliver merchandise to clients. Their dog Rusty was his buddy.

Ron was not only a hard worker but a good worker. Ron was small in stature but he had a big heart. He never met a stranger as he always liked to visit and lend a helping hand to whoever needed it. He was currently working for Dan Dunn Farms of Vale, SD.

Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, attending stock car races, driving semi loads and helping the friends he knew and loved being with.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Darwin Audus.

Grateful for being a part of his life was his wife Lisa of Belle Fourche, children Ricky and Mike Audus of Watertown, Brandy Jensen of Canton, a step-daughter Cassie Capehart of AR, a step-son Thomas Capehart of Redfield, 4 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister Charlene (Raymond) Hartley of Owasso, OK, brothers Larry (Myreta) Audus of Beatrice, NE, Virgil (Diane) Audus and Jerry (Liz) Audus of South Sioux City, IA and, brother-in-law Bryan Harms and sister-in-law Jody Harms of Rapid City.
