Robert Lee "Bob" Hallauer was born on October 24, 1953 at Watertown, the son of Frank "Max" and Hazel (Pieschke) Hallauer. He attended school at Webster. Bob lived and worked in Colorado for a few years before returning to the Florence/Henry area.
On September 3, 1999 he was united in marriage to Deborah Ommen at Watertown. The couple lived on a farm near Henry.
He hauled hay for area farmers and then went to work for Lake Area Veterinary Clinic in Watertown as a Vet Tech for over 20 years. Bob loved spending time outdoors and with animals. He was always bringing home sick animals and nursing them back to health. Bob has his own "zoo" on the farm. After retiring from the vet clinic he still nurtured animals on the farm and went to work for the City of Clark at the Clark Golf Club. He enjoyed the sport of golf, so it was a natural marriage, although he didn't get to play golf as much as he wanted.
In other free moments he enjoyed hunting, game of all sizes, and doing some fishing. Bob was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Preceding him in death is his Father, Frank Hallauer, sons, Max & Luke, a brother, Dennis, a nephew, Michael and a great-nephew, Chaz. A brother-in-law, Jim Endres, mother-in-law, Jelaine Ommen and brother-in-law, Kenneth Kittleson also preceded in death.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah of Henry, his mother, Hazel Hallauer of Florence, step children, Mike (Jessica) Rawlins of Watertown and Melissa (Jerome) Nesheim of Clark; 4 step-grandchildren, several grandchildren and siblings, Maxine (Mike) Endres-Kemp of Watertown, Frank (Marsha) of Indianapolis, IN, Ronald (Lori) of Lincoln, NE, Sheryl (Brian Lamb) Hanlon of Brookfield, MN, JoAnn (Rick) Winters of Henry, Terry (Erica McMullen) of Florence, David (Lisa) of Bradley, Doug (Tiffany Viertandt) of Wallace, father-in-law, Mick Ommen and sister-in-law, Glenda Kittleson both of Henry and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
