Ricky Lee Peterson

Ricky Lee Peterson, age 66, of Watertown, died of an apparent heart attack on Sunday, August 16, 2020, in Prairie Lakes Hospital.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery near Hayti, SD.

Ricky was born January 18, 1954 in Watertown, SD to Otis and Nellie (Valentine) Peterson. They lived in Willow Lake until Ricky was six years old and then they moved to Hayti. He graduated from Hayti High School in 1972. He attended Lake Area VoTech graduating in 1974 with an automotive mechanics degree.  He has lived in Watertown ever since residing at the Towers Apartments since 2002.

Ricky loved walking! He walked all over Watertown and was well known for his travels around town.  He thoroughly enjoyed his community at the Towers Apartments.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Verdell Peterson.

Surviving Ricky are his sisters Sandra (Gary) Neuberger of Willow Lake and Diane (Rodney) Casper of Lake Preston and several nieces and nephews.
