Richard (Dick) Esser was born on October 31, 1934 to Teresa (Krantz) and Jim Esser and raised as a young man in Howard, SD.
He married Peggy McAdaragh on January 08, 1955. They had two daughters and lived in Howard, SD for many years. They moved to Clark in the early '60s where he worked as a butcher and meat manager at the main grocery stores in town. He enjoyed his work so much that he continued working in Watertown following his retirement to be out and about and interact with people.
Dick loved his family, golfing, fishing, playing cards, bowling, his favorite teams, the Vikings, Twins, and Red Sox, and having his breakfast with the guys at the corner cafe.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Clark, two daughters, Vicky and her husband Jim in Florida, grandson James and his wife Charlene, and three great-grandchildren, Emma, Avery, and Sullivan in Florida, a granddaughter Maggie and husband Thomas in North Carolina; a daughter Tammy, husband Ron and grandchildren Justin, Marissa, and Jarret in Virginia; sisters-in-law Betty and Gloria McAdaragh in South Dakota and by many nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
