Peggy Ilene Stromsness

Peggy Stromsness passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2023 following a brief battle with cancer. The family will greet friends from 3:00-5:00 PM with a scripture service at 4:30 PM Saturday May 13, 2023 at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main Avenue Sioux Falls, SD. A private Family burial will take place at the Clark Center Lutheran Church Cemetery, Clark, SD, on Monday May 15, 2023, followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark, SD, from 5:00-7:00 PM that evening.

Peggy  Bott was born in Clear Lake, SD on May 29, 1951, to Ed and Arlene (Eggen) Bott. Peggy graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1969 and then from the Mitchel Technical Institute as an LPN.

Peggy met her husband Roy while employed as a nurse at Presentation Sisters Hospital in Aberdeen, SD. They were married in 1972 and blessed with three boys.

In addition to being a loving homemaker; Peggy was employed in the Clark Care Center in Clark, SD, Memorial Hospital in Watertown, SD and retired after a 20+ year career with Avera Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Peggy enjoyed reading, cooking, playing games and traveling. Peggy's happiest time was when she was with family and especially her grandchildren.

Thankful for sharing her life were husband of 51 years, Roy; her children Christopher (Kristie), Eric and Andrew (Tonya); grandchildren Kendra (Jeremiah) Streckfuss, Layne, Evan, Freya and Saul; her siblings John (Marge) Bott, Lynne (Jay) Eberenz and twin sister Nancy Barnes; brother-in-law Roger (Karen) Stromsness; sister-in-Law Diane (Dan) Claussen; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her parents in-law.

Peggy's family would like to thank you for your support and presence. It is deeply appreciated and will always be remembered.
