Paul Waldner was born on November 26, 1933, the son of John and Sarah (Wipf) Waldner at Bon Homme Colony, near Tabor, SD.
The family moved to Rockport Colony near Mitchell, where they lived for a few years. They later moved to Riverside Colony north of Huron.
On May 7, 1955 he was united in marriage to Dora Waldner at Riverside Colony. While living at Riverside Colony, Paul worked with the sheep.
Later he and his family moved to Hillcrest Colony near Garden City where he worked in the pig department and also worked as the colony carpenter, along with his brother Elias. Together, they could fix about anything!
One year ago he suffered a major stroke which left him in a wheel chair. His family marvels at the thought of his patience.
