Patricia A. "Pat" Shannon, age 84, Clark, formerly of the Doland area, died peacefully early Monday morning, September 5, 2016 in the Golden Living Center at Clark where she had resided since 2014. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Assembly of God Church at Clark with Pastor Kevin Petersen officiating. Private b urial will be in the Hecla Cemetery at Hecla. There will be no visitation.

She was born Patricia Ann Moerke on August 23, 1932 at Houghton, SD, the daughter of George and Ursula V. (Mitchell) Moerke. She had a younger sister, Donna. Pat attended school in Bristol and later a business school.

Over the years, Pat was employed in various retail businesses including Sears, and later at the Pamida (Alco) Store in Redfield. After retirement, she lived in Raymond and was active in the Presbyterian Church.

Pat enjoyed gardening and sharing her produce. She also bowled in her younger years. Many will remember her love of sports, especially basketball, on the television. In April of 2014 she moved into the Golden Living Center at Clark where she has lived since. While in the care center she played Bingo and participated in other activities. She enjoyed music, helping others and visiting.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Clark.

Preceding her in death were her parents, children, :Richard, Robert, Elizabeth, Gerry, and Greg and her sister, Donna Bretsch.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Don) Knuttel, Deborah (David) Trouba, Michael (Judy) Shannon, James Shannon, and Steven (Shelly) Shannon, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements are with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark where there is an on-line registry at www.furnessfuneralhome.com
