Mrs. Norma J. Wahl, 84, of Clark, South Dakota died Sunday, May 22, 2022 with family present at the Advent Health Hospital in Merriam, Kansas.

Norma was born in Clark County on November 14, 1937 to Mr. and Mrs. Helmer Ohman. She spent early childhood living on a farm before moving into Clark. She attended school in Clark where she met her high school sweetheart Lowell Wahl. They were married after graduation and moved to the family farm 13 miles north of Clark.

Norma was an active member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. She always volunteered at the Lutefisk suppers and was always available to help serve at weddings and funerals. She was an avid bowler and was on a bowling team for many years. She loved to play golf and bridge and belonged to several Bridge clubs. She was a Jaycette, a Lioness, and a member of the Extension Club. She worked at the potato plant in Clark, working her way to a supervisor as well as Haugland's Furniture Store and Bockoven's meat department. And as always, she worked side by side with Lowell doing whatever she needed to keep the farm running.   She loved spending time at her house at the river relaxing and fishing as well as hunting on the farm. But most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sister Ann Sandbakken of Wilmot, SD and daughter Vicky (Mike) Bowers of Rapid City, SD and Diane (Michael) Olson, Kansas City; grandchildren Blake, Patrick (Sabrina), Matthew, Ryleigh and Taylor; and great grandchildren Alina and Maryanne.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Lowell, five brothers Lester, George, Nyler, Rueben, and Marlow and two sisters Elsie and Eldora. She will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.

Funeral arrangements are with Furness Funeral Home where there is an online registry at furnessfuneralhome.com
