He was born Myron Gene Lamb on February 28, 1936 in Clark, the son of Harold Thomas and Verna Viola (Busch) Lamb. Myron attended the Kirkeby School in Merton Township through the eighth grade. He was needed on the family farm and so began his life of farming. He has lived and farmed in Merton Township since that time. On November 6, 1955 he was united in marriage to Joyce Froke at the Good Hope Lutheran Church. Myron had been living on the farm and after his marriage, Joyce moved into the home and they have resided in the same place since that time. Over the years, he also helped his brother-in-law, Floyd Lamb on his farm as well. Myron was baptized and confirmed in the Good Hope Lutheran Church, a church he was very active in over the years, serving as usher and a member of the council. In his community Myron played an active part in several organizations including being a Charter Member of the Clark Lions Club, a member of the Farm Bureau, Crop Improvement Board, a founding member of the Willing Workers 4-H club as a youth and then becoming a 4-H leader of the club, sponsoring a trophy annually at the County Achievement Days, and a member of a square dance club. Myron and Joyce loved to dance, going around the region many nights with friends to area dances. That is one thing he really missed these past eight years after suffering a stroke, to help with that he enjoyed watching polka shows on the television. He also enjoyed watching rodeos. Besides his love of the land, second to none though was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, oh, and one should mention his cat, Sassy! Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Linda Hovde and a brother-in-law, Floyd Lamb. Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife of over 60 years, Joyce, children, Harley (Joan) Lamb, Carol (David) Warkenthien all of Clark and Paula (Marshall) Drexler of Harrisburg, SD, 7 grandchildren, Christi (Jason), Tyler (Angie), Sarah (Eric), Michael, Laura (Brock), Jeff (Nichole) and Katie (Jeff), 10 great-grandchildren, Allison, Brantley, Braedon, Avery, Makenna, Carson, Kenslee, Kyle, Leighton and Aftyn. He also leaves a sister, Marilyn Lamb of Vienna, a brother, Ronald (Patti) Lamb of Clark and a brother-in-law, Larry Hovde of Dell Rapids, SD and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Thank you for respecting Myron's wishes.
