Monte Ray Moe

A visitation honoring the life of Monte Moe will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00-6:30 PM at Furness Funeral Home of Clark.  

Monte Moe, age 64, died at his home in Raymond, SD, on April 28.2026.

He was born September 26, 1961, and grew up in Raymond, SD, living with his grandmother, Lois Moe.  He attended Raymond Elementary School and then graduated from Clark High School in 1979. Following graduation, Monte attended South Dakota State University where he obtained a degree in Geography.  He went on to work for EROS Data Center for a few years. He moved back to Clark and was a certified fork lift operator for Chef Ready and McCain Foods. Later Monte worked several seasons with Wolf Custom Combining of Clark and then Pahl Custom Combining of Claremont. For the last two years, he worked for Forest Excavating of Clark.  Monte truly enjoyed driving truck and was a very skilled truck driver. He will be remembered as a quiet, kind man.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mother, Shirley Moe, his aunt, Leora Wallen and his cousin, Candyce Otteson.

Memorials can be directed to Furness Funeral Home to go towards Monte's arrangements and burial.
