He was born Michael David Warkenthien on October 10, 1983 at Watertown, the son of David & Carol (Lamb) Warkenthien.  Michael grew up in Clark attending elementary school and then Clark High School graduating in 2002.  While in high school he was active in wrestling, golfing, football and music.

Following high school he worked for Mack's Landscape as well as other landscape companies and  started at Hefty Seed Co. in Baltic in January of 2013.

Michael enlisted in to the United States Army National Guard in 2007.  He has served his country honorably since that time.  Mike, as he was called by many, loved the National Guard.  It is very evident given he was just promoted to Captain and the position of Commander of the Alpha Battery 1-147 Field Artillery Unit- Aberdeen.

In his free time he enjoyed spending time on the water, wake boarding with his new boat, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, hunting at the family farm, LOVED farming, golfing, and having a good time.  He thoroughly enjoyed his nieces and nephew, Braedon, Avery, and Makenna, and spending time with all of his family.  One also can never forget the companionship he had with his dogs, Axen, and Gracie.

Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Wally & Katherine Campbell, Harold & Verna Lamb, Alfred & Mabel Warkenthien, Victor & Selma Froke; grandfathers, Darrell Warkenthien & Myron Lamb; and step-grandfather, Bob Harding.

Survivors include his parents, David & Carol Warkenthien of Clark, siblings, Sarah (Eric) Zaug and their children, Braedon and Avery, and Laura (Brock) Asmussen and their daughter, Makenna.  He also leaves his grandmothers, Carolyn Warkenthien Harding and Joyce Lamb all of Clark, and a host of other relatives, friends and his dogs, Axen and Gracie.

Michael had a motto he lived by; "LIVE LIFE NO REGRETS"
