Maynard L. "Andy" Anderson, age 71, longtime Clark resident died late Friday night at his home in Clark. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Grace Lutheran Church at Watertown with the Rev. Bill Hamill officiating. A.J. Sherrill will be the organist and Gwen & Joel Anderson will sing. Casketbearers will be Wayne, Keith, Linda and Kent Anderson, Larry Lynch and Alyssa Willey. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Watertown. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and 1 hour prior to services at the Church Friday morning. Maynard Laverne 'Andy' Anderson, age 71, Clark, died on Friday night at his home in Clark. He was born on May 21, 1934 at Butler, SD, the son of Andrew and Olda (Mathiason) Anderson. He attended school at Butler. He was united in marriage to Marlene Mahlen and to this union had three children, Margaret, Melanie and Michael. He lived in Watertown and worked for Schull Construction Company. On May 31, 1958 he was united in marriage to Alene Simmons Hennings and had two daughters, Tammie and Julie and a stepdaughter, Patty. He and Alene lived in Clark where he was a self-employed carpenter. Alene died on January 16, 1984. He has continued to make Clark his home. In earlier years he enjoyed hunting & fishing. Survivors include his children, Tammie Willey and husband Bob of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Julie Anderson of Sioux Falls, Margaret "Maggi" Davis and husband Richard of Incline Village, Nevada, Melony Remel of Olive, Mississippi and Michael Givens and wife Joyce of Denison, Texas and a stepdaughter Patty, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Norman of Lake Andes, SD and 4 sisters, June Moen and husband Maynard of Bemiji, MN, Alice Lynch and husband Arthur of Clark, Sophie Fiebelkorn and Joan Hemminger and husband Lynn of Wenatchee, WA, a sister in-law, Virginia McBride and her husband Earl of Watertown and a special friend, Marion Green of Watertown. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive him.
