Mary J Waldner

Mary J. Waldner, age 84, Clark Colony, Raymond, SD, died peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Friday afternoon, December 10, 2021.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 beginning at 2PM in her home at Clark Colony until moving to the Church for an evening wake service.  Visitation will continue in her home following the wake services and will continue until Monday at 2PM when she will be taken back to the Church for a 2PM funeral.  Burial will follow in the Clark Colony Cemetery.

She was born Mary J. Hofer on November 29, 1937 in Barrickman Colony, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Jacob and Maria Hofer.  The family later moved to Tschetter Colony near Olivet, SD where she attended school.

On May 8, 1960 she was united in marriage to Samuel F. Waldner at Clark Colony near Raymond.  This is where she has lived and worked since, raising 8 children, 6 daughters and 2 sons.  Her husband Samuel died in January of 2012.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 5 brothers, 1 sister, a son-in-law and a sister-in-law.
