Mary R Scott

Mary R. Scott, age 90, Naples, the widow of Glenn Scott, Sr., died peacefully in the Prairie Lakes Hospital at Watertown on Saturday evening, April 13, 2019 after a brief illness.

Graveside services of her casketed remains will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 2PM in the Naples Lutheran Cemetery at Naples.  Visitation was held at the funeral home for her family.  Her husband's ashes who died on May 12, 2016 will be interred at the same time.  Gregg Stormo will officiate. Verna Herker will provide a eulogy.

She was born Mary Ruth Wenn on April 21, 1928 at Watertown, SD, the daughter of John and Ethel (Lofthouse) Wenn.  Mary attended school at Watertown graduating in 1946.  Following high school she attended the Mounds-Midway School of Nursing in St. Paul, MN graduating in 1949.  She returned to the Watertown area and was employed as a registered nurse, later becoming supervisor of nursing and then as charge nurse at Memorial Hospital in Watertown. Mary became the administrator of the Clark Care Center where she also was supervising nurse.  She served as a registered nurse for over 40 years in various locations.

On September 9, 1950 she was united in marriage to Glenn E Scott, Sr of Clark County.  They were married at the First Baptist Church at Watertown.  They moved to St. Paul, MN for a short time and then to Madison, WI.  In the fall of 1953 they moved to Nashville, TN.  In the fall of 1960 they returned to a farm near Hazel.  In 1991, they retired from farming and moved to Naples.

Survivors include her children, Glenn "Corky" E. Scott, Jr of Naples, a daughter, Linda Wright of Mississippi and a grandson, Eric (Brittany) Scott of Castlewood.
