Mary Jo Pederson

She was born Mary Jo Cummines on July 23, 1942 at Louisville, KY.  Her mother died when Jo was young and she was raised by her paternal grandparents.

Jo married Richard Orr and to this union four children were born.  This union ended in divorce.  Jo later married L.D. Orr and she helped him raise his 2 children after their mother had died.  He died in 1998.

She then married Dick Pederson at Palm Desert, CA on November 28, 2003.  In 2008, she and Dick retired and traveled, later settling in Garden City.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband L. D. Orr and a son, Richard "Rickie" Orr.

Surviving is her husband Dick of Garden City, children, David (Marquita) Orr, Shepherdsville, KY, Joy (Eddie) Whittaker of Louisville, KY, Debbie (Bruce) Guthrie of Hiram, GA, Dena (David) Guenther of Jacksonville, FL, Joseph (Ginger) Orr of Hudson, NC, and Travis Pederson of Conde, SD, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

There will be no services held locally per her request.  A private burial will be held later this year.
