Marvin J. Bymers, age 87, Clark, died in the Avantara Clark late Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Furness Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Tracy officiating.
Marvin was born eight miles east and a mile north of Turton, SD to Pete and Gladys (Schulz) Bymers and grew up in the Raymond and Turton areas. He attended Raymond School through his sophomore year.
Marvin worked for Kyle Hardware for 15 years in Clark for Bill Kyle. After leaving Kyle Hardware, he went on his own and did construction work; he became a licensed electrician and plumber.
Marvin was Married to Mavis Hilsabeck for 32 years and had three children; Lon, Jody, and Joel.
He then married Billie Thorne and welcomed her four children into his life. In 1986, they moved to Deaver, WY where he did more construction work and drove bus for the Big Horn County School District.
Marvin loved to fix and build things as well as hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Gladys (Schulz) Bymers; siblings, Valois (Bymers) Danekas, Ramona (Bymers) Kirkeby, Dean Bymers and step-son, Richard Thorne.
Marvin is survived by his children: Lon, Jody, and Joel; his grandchildren: Jacob, Jared, and Vondi; great grandchildren: Natalie, Isabelle, Lucas, Nathan, Oliver, and Henry; siblings: Iris Rasmussen, Pat Fey, Duane (Avie) Bymers, Karen (Forest) McCoy; step children: David (Brenda) Thorne, Linda (Jerard) Baumstark, Tom (Kris) Thorne; step grandchildren: Cindy Baumstark, Katie, and Tiffany.
