Boss, 72, of Clark, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown with his family by his side. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6-8:00 PM at Arne-Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Clark Assembly of God with Pastor Kevin Petersen officiating. Dorothy Fuller will be the organist. Erica Weisler will be the soloist. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Clark. Pallbearers will be Bob Linneman, Jim Guest, Stacy Mayou, Alan Hollatz, Jerry Bowers and Terry Severson. Marvin H. Boss was born in Clark on March 3, 1940 to William and Mamie Ellen (Iverson) Boss. He attended school in Clark and then graduated from Clark High School in 1958. Marvin married Gayle A. Brown on June 6, 1959 in Clark. Gayle died on December 13, 2006. Marvin worked all around the country on construction projects such as locks and dams, bridges and The Oahe Pumping Station. He made his way back to the Clark area where he pursued a business in masonry and carpentry, in which Boss Construction was established in 1983. Marvin also was a gunsmith, who loved hunting, making sausage, smoking different meats and canning. Marvin is survived by his children, Gwendolyn (Dion) Dockter of Watertown; Carla (Jeff) Kalb of Sisseton; Bill (Jessie) Boss of Clark; Delwyn Boss of Clark; 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dolores Yeager of Foley, MN and Verlaine (Allen) Humphrey of Ft. Pierre. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, wife Gayle, a sister, Burdette Borshell and a brother-in-law Clarence Yeager.
