SPRING BURIAL SCHERULED: His actual date of death was March 12, 2014. Interment services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10AM in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery near Bradley with full military honors. Marlyn R. Muehleisen, age 83, Clark, died in the Golden Living Center at Clark early Wednesday morning, March 12, 2014. Visitation will be held from noon-2PM at the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with funeral services beginning at 2PM all on Saturday, March 15, 2014. The Officiants will be The Reverend Jen Tyler and Pastor Donna Nickels. Wendy Christman will provide the music. Burial with military rites will be held in the Spring in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery near Bradley. Casketbearers will be friends. He was born Marlyn R. Brekke, the son of Marie Brekke on May 15, 1930 at Crocker, SD. He was schooled at Crocker. Marie Brekke married John Muehleisen at Crocker and he adopted Marlyn. He served his country in the United States Army honorably during the Korean Conflict. On August 4, 1963 he was united in marriage to Ina B. Grovenburg at Bradley. The couple lived in the Bradley/Crocker area and Marlyn worked for various farmers. He also drove school bus for Bradley School and delivered cream and eggs for Nelson Produce at Bradley. For several years he was a star route rural mail carrier at Bradley and then in Watertown. The couple later moved to Garden City and then into Clark in the late 1980's. While living in Clark he worked for the City of Clark at the landfill. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, playing Bingo, playing cards and visiting - loved telling stories. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Ina in 2012, siblings, Gerald "Rochester", LeRoy "Sparky" and Larry. Survivors include a son, Raymond of Clark, a daughter, Marilyn (fiancé Gary Anderson) of Garden City, two sisters, Dorothy Sehnert and Barbara Cotton of Clark.
