\r Marjorie \"Marge\" Seefeldt, age 86, Clark, widow of Edwin Seefeldt, died in the Prairie Lakes Hospital at Watertown on Friday evening, September 19, 2008 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 11AM in the Peace Lutheran Church at Clark with the Reverend Mark Guthmiller officiating. The organist will be Karen McGraw. The congregation will sing\"Just As I Am\". \"My Faith Looks Up to Thee\" and \"What a Friend We Have in Jesus\". Casketbearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-7PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark and 1 hour preceding services at the Church on Wednesday morning. She was born at Mentor, MN, on July 4, 1922, the daughter of Guy and Rachel (Allen) Tipton. The family moved to South Dakota when she was young and she attended country school south of Clark. In 1940 she graduated from Clark High School and continued her education at Northern Normal in Aberdeen obtaining her teaching certificate. She then taught country school in Merton Township, south of Clark until her marriage. On December 18, 1943 she was united in marriage to Edwin Seefeldt on her parents farm south of Clark. They lived and farmed in Hague Township until moving to Lincoln Township, also south of Clark. In 1978 they moved into Clark. Ed died on December 4, 1989. Marge has continued making her home in Clark until her death. She was a member of the Hague Lutheran Church (WELS) for many years and was currently a member of Peace Lutheran Church (WELS) being active in a circle group and ladies aid. In the community she was a longtime member of the Happy Bunch Club and was actively involved in the Visually Impaired Group in Clark. She enjoyed bowling, doing needlework, especially counter cross stitch, and fishing. The Clark Lions Club annually sponsors the Ed Seefeldt Memorial Fun Day at the Missouri river, near Gettysburg; Marge never missed a Fun Day! Another favorite pastime of hers was playing cards, even thinking someone must be cheating on her, if she lost a few hands in a row, especially since her eyesight was failing. She definitely brought laughter with her in abundance wherever she went and whomever she was with. In recent years some of her fondest moments were spent being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marge could often be found down at Mike and Angies, helping hold the little ones at the day care and loving every moment of it. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son, Kenny on September 20, 1994 and a brother-in-law, Milo Loomis in 1987. Grateful for having shared in her life is her son, Robert Seefeldt, daughter, Kathy (Danny) Weber, brother, Allen (Shirley) Tipton and a sister, Marcella Loomis all of Clark, 8 grandchildren, Brian (Rhonda) Seefeldt, Mikel (Angie) Seefeldt, Chris, Jeff (Heidi) Seefeldt, Jennie (Clay) Fenenga, Desi (Brad) Lamb, Kerri (Brian) Reutzel and Dustin and 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Summer, Zackery, Derek and Logan.
