Marjorie "Marge" (Mrs. Lowell) Pederson, age 77 of rural Clark died at her home this morning, Wednesday, September 28, 2005 after a long illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 2PM in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark with the Reverend Roger Semmler officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark. Rosella Hanson will be the organist with Roger Nordhus singing "How Great Thou Art". The congregation will sing "What a Friend we Have in Jesus" and "Borning Cry". Casketbearers will be Kirk Severson, Walt Steiger, Harold Boelkes, Bryce Collins, Clifton Bratland, Dick Pederson & Rodell Kretzschmar. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and 2 hours preceding services at the Church on Friday afternoon. She was born in Hague Township, southwest of Clark, on July 2, 1928, the daughter of Carl and Dora (Kistenmacher) Kretzschmar. She attended school in the Hague Township. After her schooling she worked in the area cleaning houses, being a waitress and helping on the family farm. On July 25, 1961 she was united in marriage to Lowell Pederson at Jackson, MN. The couple has lived and farmed in Lincoln Township, southwest of Clark, since their marriage. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its women's groups. In earlier years she enjoyed bowling and raising hogs on the farm. Some of her hobbies included playing cards, crocheting and gardening. Second to none though was her love of making lefse and even being German by nationality, she loved lutefisk. Grateful for having shared in her life is her husband Lowell of Clark, a twin sister, Margaret Keating of Waukesha, WI, a sister, Dorothy Dirksen of Bryant and a brother, Leroy Kretzschmar and wife Mary of Canby, Oregon. Preceding her in death were her parents, sisters, Helen Butler, Carol Korkow and Geraldine Stevenson, twin brothers, Clark and Carl Kretzschmar and a brother Don Kretzschmar.
