Marie Muehleisen, age 95, of the Bradley/Crocker communities, the widow of John Muehleisen, died early Friday morning, December 14, 2007 in the Parkview Care Center at Bryant where she had resided since 1979. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 11AM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with Minister Marion Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery near Bradley. Music will be provided by Marvine Obermeier as pianist with David and Carol Finstad singing "the Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art". The honorary casketbearers will be her grandchildren with the active casketbearers being TJ, James and Jordon Sehnert, Lee and Alan Dreher and Zachery Morton. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services in the Chapel. She was born Gertrude Marie Brekke on February 2, 1912 at Bradley, the daughter of Andrew and Johanna (Jorgenson) Brekke. She attended school at Bradley. On December 7, 1931 she was united in marriage to John Muehleisen at Webster. To this union five children were born. They farmed in the Bradley-Crocker area until 1951 when they moved to Bradley due to his health. He died on April 4, 1972. She moved to Watertown for a short time and then became a resident of the care center in Bryant in 1979. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Bradley and an associate member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at Bryant. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family. Grateful for having shared in her life are her children, Marlyn Muehleisen and wife Ina, Dorothy Sehnert both of Clark, LeRoy Muehleisen of Gaston, OR and Barbara Cotton of Clark, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sons, Larry Lee and Gerald 'Rochester', sons-in-law, Melvin Sehnert and Ray Cotton, 2 grandsons, Vernon and Raymond and a great-grandson, Kalob Regnier and also a sister Myrtle Schmig and 2 brothers, Marvin and Nels Brekke.
