Marianne L. (Mrs. Clayton) Pischke, age 46, Willow Lake, died at the Parkview Care Center in Bryant, SD on Wednesday evening, March 30, 2004. She had been ill with cancer. She was born on August 3, 1957 at Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of John and Shirley (Sabin) Vance, Sr. She attended school in Wind Lake, WI and then went to high school in Muskego, WI graduating in 1976. At a young age she began her life-long career in the restaurant business. She was a waitress in Wind Lake, Tomah and Camp Douglas, WI. On October 27, 2978 she was united in marriage to Clayton Pischke in Racine, WI. The couple has lived west of Willow Lake since Sept. of 2002. Since living at Willow Lake she has worked at the Willow Lake Caf and then at the Happy Chef in Huron as a supervisor until her health failed. Her hobbies and pastimes were spent knitting, sewing, collecting hummingbirds and cooking. Some of her fondest moments though were spent fishing and hunting deer. Grateful for having shared her life is her husband Clayton of Willow Lake, her Father, John Vance, Sr. of Omogee, OK, a daughter, Dawn Marie Pischke of Tomah, WI, 2 grandchildren, Brent and Brittany, brothers, John Jack Vance of OK and Alan Vance of Virginia and a sister, Sue of OK. Preceding her in death was her son, Daniel Clayton, a brother, Donald and her Mother. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 2 from 6-8 PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark, SD. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2004 at 11:00 AM in the Wyeville Cemetery in Wyeville, WI. The Furness Funeral Home of Clark, SD and the Sonnenburg Funeral Home of Tomah, WI is handling the arrangements.
