Loren “Chris” Olson, age 59, of Bradley, SD was called home to his Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 11am at the Bradley Community Center in Bradley, SD with Pastor Janet Miller officiating.
Chris was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Melinda (Kennedy) Yexley and Les Olson on May 3rd, 1967. He went to elementary school at Bradley SD and graduated from Clark High School in Clark, SD in 1985. He married Michelle Hallstrom on December 27th, 1986 in Webster, SD. God blessed them with 2 sons, Rayce and Jaron and 39 years of marriage. He worked as an airplane mechanic on F-16s and the Stealth Fighter for the Air Force. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield and served in the Air Force from 1987-1996. He worked at Southwest Systems, JBA Engineering and Consulting and then at Country Financial, all in Las Vegas, NV.
Chris is preceded in death by his son, Rayce, and his grandparents. Chris is survived by his wife, Michelle and son, Jaron. His brothers and sisters are: Wendy Dunaway of Waupun, Wisconsin, Jeff Yexley (Kerri) of Clark, SD, Dawn Lenton of Ramsey, Minnesota, John Olson (Shino) of Chandler, Arizona, Michael Olson (Edith) of Bonney Lake, Washington and Diane Botana (Teddy) of Miami, Florida. His other brother and sister are: Corey (Jan) Hallstrom of Clark, SD, and Julie (Jim) Wallace of Sturgis, SD. His parents are Melinda and Terry Yexley (Bradley, SD), and Les Olson and Lynn Cravero (Orting, Washington) and his mother-in-law, Nancy Hallstrom of Webster, SD.
Thankfully, we understand and take to heart that by the grace of God Chris is with Jesus in heaven. Christ is risen! And so also will we, one day, rise to be with our Savior.
