Lola E. Mann, age 95, Clark, the widow of Guy Mann, died at the Fay Wookey Memorial Assisted Living Center on Sunday evening, December 14, after suffering an apparent heart attack. Services will be held at the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Clark on Friday, December 19, 2003 at 11:00 AM with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Clark. Pastor Eldon DeBoer will officiate. Music will be provided by organist Dorothy Fuller and Kim Mann as soloist. Casketbearers will be her 9 grandsons with the granddaughters as honorary casketbearers. She was born on November 24, 1908 at Cleghorn, IA, the daughter of Jesse and Florence (Treptow) Messerole. On July 20, 1925 she was united in marriage to Guy M. Mann at the Congregational Church in Henry. The couple farmed until moving into Clark in 1950. Mr. Mann died on June 5, 1984. She continued living in Clark until moving to Milbank in 1989. On December 19, 1998 she returned to Clark and lived in the Faye Wookey Memorial Living Center since that time. She was a longtime member of the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Clark and its Womens Fellowship, the Rebekah Lodge and a former member of the Friendly Circle. Some of her favorite pastimes included crocheting, reading and baking. Grateful for having shared in her life are her sons, Jim Mann and wife Marvel of Plymouth, MN, Gene Mann and wife Cleo of Milbank and Jerry Mann and wife Kathie of California, 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brothers, Gordon and LuVerne Messerole and a sister, Elizabeth Stevens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-6PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark and after 9:30 AM Friday morning at the Church in Clark.
