Lois Riehm, age 85 of Clark, died peacefully with family by her side on Friday, July 10, 2015. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Clark with The Reverend John Short officiating. Music will be presented by St. Michael's Church. She was born Lois Parks on August 17, 1929 at Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edward T. and Lillian E. (Sampson) Parks. Lois attended schools in Chicago where she graduated from high school in June of 1947. In April of 1948 she was united in marriage to Jack L. Riehm in Chicago. The couple lived in Chicago, IL, then in Redfield, Oneida and Dupree, SD before moving to Clark in 1957 where they raised two children, Jack and Claudia. She worked in the flower shop, the bank and served as Deputy Clerk of Courts for many years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, playing bridge, painting, gardening, cooking, and traveling to Arizona and Peace Officers Competitive Shooting events where she won several awards. Lois loved getting together with family and friends. She was an active member of P.E.O. the Peace Officers Auxiliary and St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Jack, a daughter, Claudia and 2 brothers. Survivors include a son, Jack (Anita) Riehm of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Lori (Adam), Wendy (Matt), Todd (Lisa), Lisa (Erik), Michelle (Tony), Seth (Juliet), and Ashley (Dejan), 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dennis and Theresa Larson, John and Helen Olson, the Fay Wookey Memorial Assisted Living Center, the Golden Living Center and all others who assisted in her care during the past few years.
