She was born Lois Mae Nogelmeier on April 28, 1926 at Willow Lake, the daughter of George and Martha (Grensberg) Nogelmeier.  Lois attended school in Washington Township #40, SE of Willow Lake.  In 1944 she graduated from Willow Lake High School.  Following high school, she attended and graduated from General Beadle College in Madison with a teaching certificate.  Lois taught country school in Lake and Collins Township for 6 years.

On September 19, 1944 she was united in marriage to Earl Dreher at The Hague Lutheran Church (WELS) near Willow Lake.  She was an active member of the Church, teaching Sunday School and a stay at home mom to Arlene and Larry.  In 1961 the couple moved to a farm closer to Clark and then in 1973 they moved into Clark.  Lois worked for the ASCS office from 1961-1982.  Earl died on February 18, 1983.

On April 3, 1987 she married Robert Lien of Garden City.  They lived in Clark.  In May of 2003 they moved into the apartments at the Wookey Center.  He died on October 27. 2005.  Lois has continued living at the Wookey Center until a few days ago.  Besides her love of visiting, being with her family, she had a love in her of collecting, anything from Watt Ware to Clark County memorabilia, to dishes.  Lois thoroughly enjoyed a good conversation of collecting, joy as she would say!
