Linda Kruthoff

Linda Kruthoff, age 69, (Mrs. Ken), Sergeant Bluff, IA, formerly of Clark, SD, died suddenly on January 3, 2016 at her home in Sergeant Bluffs.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11AM in the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Clark with Pastor Fawn Lamb officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in California. There will be no visitation.

She was born Linda Lee Andrew on September 3, 1946 in Solano County, California, the daughter of Lester Andrew, Jr and Marjorie Knight. She attended school in northern California graduating from Diablo High School in Concord, CA.

On March 6, 1965 she was united in marriage to Duane Bowers. The couple moved to the Clark community a short time later. Duane died in September of 1971.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Kruthoff on July 4, 1972. The couple lived in Clark until moving to Sergeant Bluffs in 1999. While living in Clark she worked for area business's including Bockoven's Drug, Dakota Style Chips, Ken's Fairway, and served as the secretary at the Plymouth Congregational Church. After they moved to Iowa she worked in customer service for MCI and Premier Bankcard.

She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ in Clark. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, taking care of flowers both inside and out, bird and squirrel watching, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, casino hopping and collecting white buffalos. Linda was an avid sports fan as well, being a huge Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan, NASCAR racing, watching Musketeer Hockey, and always routing for the Denver Broncos.  Second to none though was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her father, Lester Andrew, Jr, husband Duane Bowers, and a foster sister, Betty (Parks) and husband Richard "Punk" Bowers.

Survivors include her Mother, Marjorie Knight of Santa Rosa, CA, her Step-Mother, Dorothy Goodlin of Turlock, CA, husband Kenneth of Sergeant Bluff, IA, daughters, Barbara (Donald) Murray of Sioux City, IA, Tina Kruthoff (Elliott Freis) of El Cerrito, CA, Heidi (Dan) Bilben of Sioux Falls, SD, grandchildren, Shelby Murray, Savannah, Mavrick and Aby Bilben and Jimmy (the dog)!. Also surviving are her siblings, Lee and Terry Andrew of Mesa, AZ and Terry Andrew of Santa Rosa, CA, step-siblings, Sandy (Dale) Kruthoff of Livingston, CA, Nancy (Bill) Johnson of Caldwell, ID, Linda Bowen of Turlock, CA, Raymond (Loralei) Lentz of Eureka, CA and Danny (Linda) Lentz of Middletown, CA. Linda is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
