Following the burial, all are invited to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Vienna for a dinner and a time of fellowship with the family. He was born LeVerne Clayton Reinhart on October 5, 1931 on a farm near Vienna, SD, the son of Levi J. and Lucy (Williams) Reinhart. He attended the Kindig Country School west of Vienna through the eighth grade except for one year; he went to school in Vienna. Following his schooling he helped on the family farm. In 1951 he began his military service in the United States Navy and served his country honorably until being discharged in 1955. For the next four years he was part of the United States Navy Reserve. While in the Navy he was stationed on the USS Bayfield (APA33). He was still a part of the USS Bayfield Veterans Reunion group, receiving regular mailings from them and he currently is a member of the Garden City Heath-Headley American Legion Post #199 and the VFW Post #750, Watertown, SD. Following his discharge he returned to the Vienna area working on the farm and doing mechanic work for many in the area. On June 14, 1968 he was united in marriage to Reva Green in Vienna. The couple lived and farmed west of Vienna. LeVerne worked the land, he and his brother, LeMoyne, operated the Reinhart Brothers Repair on the farm, and LeVerne also worked many custom jobs for area farmers, from combining to silage cutting and many things in between. They left the farm in 1985 and moved into Willow Lake. While in Willow Lake, LeVerne owned and operated the Reinhart Repair Shop until 1997 when they moved to a farm near Garden City. Later he moved into Garden City and has recently been living in an apartment in Henry. While living in Garden City and Henry he enjoyed walking downtown, getting the mail for he and others in town and delivering that to them, as he loved to visit. Even though his eyesight was poor and he could no longer do mechanic work, he continued to "coach" many through a project, from fixing a lawn mower to repairing a tractor, he could talk people through the repair process, just as if he were there repairing it, he truly was gifted at that. In earlier years he loved playing baseball in Vienna and that love of baseball continued to his love of watching the Minnesota Twins play on television. He also enjoyed watching and listening to polka music on the television. In earlier years he enjoyed fishing with LeAnn and hunting with Julie. Even though he left the farm many years ago, he still had the desire for farming as he loved to garden, even if it were a tomato plant on the patio. He will also be remembered by the grandchildren for his love of teasing. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Melvin (Velva) Reinhart, Lloyd (Pernella) Reinhart and LeMoyne Reinhart and a brother-in-law, Everett Misner. Survivors include his daughters, Julie Reinhart (AJ Koob) of Pipestone, MN and LeAnn (Jim) Johnson of Clark, 4 grandchildren, Cody, Jessie, Michaela and Lucas and a sister, Catherine Misner of California.
