Larry Kevin Hubbard

Larry Kevin Hubbard, age 56, Irvine, CA, the son of Alyce Mae & Robert Hubbard of Watertown, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in a Los Angeles, CA hospital. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 5:30 PM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with The Reverend John Short officiating. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery at Clark. Special music will be presented by Dorothy Fuller as pianist and Greg Furness as soloist. There will be no visitation. He was born on April 17, 1956 at Denver, CO, the son of Alyce Mae (Bachman) and Robert Harold Hubbard. He moved with his family to California in the mid 1960's where he attended school in the Upland, CA vicinity. He had lived in the Los Angeles/Orange County area since that time. Larry has been in the roofing business for over 30 years working for Davey Roofing Company his entire career. For a period of time he was foreman of crews in Las Vegas and San Francisco as well as Southern California. He was baptized into the Catholic faith in Thornton, CO. In his spare time he enjoyed music, listening to the Beatles and also was fond of playing the guitar. In his younger years he enjoyed summer trips to Clark, spending time with his grandparents. Preceding him in death was his grandparents and a cousin David Gruber. Survivors include his parents Alyce Mae & Robert Hubbard of Watertown, siblings, Theresa (Roger) Wagner of Longmont, CO, Robert A. Hubbard of West Plains, MO, Kathryn (Danny) Shoaf of LaBelle, FL, Debra (Rick) Green of West Plains, MO and Douglas (Kerry) Hubbard of Hesperia, CA, a special friend and former wife, Claudia Weaver of Los Angeles, his aunt, Janice Ann (Bachman) Richards of Watertown, and a cousin, DeAnn Schaefer of Hayti along with numerous nieces and nephews. www.furnessfuneralhome.com for an on-line registry.
