Kenneth E Logan, age 91, Clark, died peacefully with family at his side Friday morning, July 10, 2015 in the Golden Living Center at Clark. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 5-7pm at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and will continue in the Church at Clark on Wednesday morning after 9AM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the United Methodist Church at Clark with Pastor Mark Tracy officiating. Music will be provided by his son, Steven Logan and Congregational Singing "Holy, Holy, Holy" #64 "How Great Thou Art" #77 "O Rest In The Lord" - Mendelssohn "The Lord's Prayer" - Malotte "At The River" - Spiritual "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" Casketbearers will be Lorrie Schroeder, Sarah, Scott, Alex & Emily Logan and David Helkenn with the honorary casket bearers being the residents of the Golden Living Center at Clark. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Clark. Kenneth Eugene Logan was born on May 27, 1924 in Darlington township, the son of Albert and Nellie (DeWitt) Logan. In 1935 the family moved to Logan township, where he graduated from Logan High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army in 1945. He was united in marriage to Lorrayne Schurrer on November 9, 1945 at the Presbyterian Church in Raymond. They farmed in Logan township until 1967 when they moved to Clark. He worked for the City of Clark. From 1969 to 1983 he was a John Deere salesman. In later life he occasionally worked in farm labor. Ken was a member of the Clark United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Raymond American Legion. He served on the Logan township board, the Logan School Board, and was a 4-H leader. He enjoyed sports, and participated on local slow-pitch softball teams for many years. He was a pheasant and deer hunting enthusiast, joining in Black Hills deer hunting trips for nearly twenty years. Farming was an important part of his life. He loved music of all kinds, especially country and gospel. A favorite pastime was drinking coffee and visiting with his friends. In later years he became known for his converted lawn mower (the Cadillac") that he used as a means of transportation around town. Ken entered the Golden Living Center in February 2013, and established many friendships while a resident. Mr. Logan is survived by his wife of nearly seventy years Lorrayne of Clark; sons Richard (Anita) of Paynesville, MN and Steven of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Lorrie (Shawn) Schroeder of Mankato, MN, Sarah Logan of Fort Bragg, CA, Scott (Charisse) of Seattle, WA, Alex Logan and Emily Logan of Chaska, MN; great-grandchildren Viola, Elena and Harrison Schroeder of Mankato, MN, siblings, Hazel (Delmar) Foiles, Byrl (Luella) Logan, Orvin (Jan) Logan and Bonnie Jean Surdez and special people Ruth Smith of Omaha, NE and David Helkenn of Watertown. He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, and siblings; Marvin (Mabel) Logan, Mildred (Harold) Graves, Gladys (Robert) Schuck, and Donald (Clarice) Logan.
