Keith Douglas Zobel was born October 7, 1952 to parents Albert "Fritz" and Lola (Hauschild) Zobel in Mitchell, SD. He attended grade school at Montrose Public School and high school at West Central where he graduated in 1970.  Following graduation, he joined the Air Force – Air Corps of which he was a member from 1972-1978, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.  In 1973, he married Monica Ruth.

Keith was working as a technician for Northern Natural Gas where he had been employed for over 37 years.  He currently was a Hunter Safety Instructor and a member of the Raymond American Legion Post #209. Throughout the years, Keith had been a member of the Jaycees, Church Council, CCR Club and a Boy Scout Leader.

Keith took great joy in helping others, his Saturday morning breakfasts with Kevin, and in years past, with George "Doc" Holmes prior to George's death in 2016, and weekly phone calls with his sister Gayle of Sioux Falls. He always made time for his grandsons and took annual trips with Monica to Sturgis.  In his spare time, Keith enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, riding a Harley and being Santa for anyone who asked.  He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and being a prankster.  In the spirit of giving, the family had Keith's corneas donated to the Lions Eye Bank at his time of death, so that someone else in this world could have the gift of better eye sight.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.

Keith is survived by his wife Monica; children Becky (Lonnie) Myrvold and Kevin (Jill) Zobel; grandsons Keith and Andrew Myrvold, all of Clark; sister Gayle Lee of Sioux Falls; several cousins, aunts, a niece and nephew, 1 great-niece and 2 great-nephews; foster children Tony Redshirt, Mary LeClaire and Pam (Tracy) Iron; and friends too numerous to count.

Funeral arrangements are with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark where there is an on-line registry at www.furnessfuneralhome.com
