Joshua F Waldner

In Loving Memory

Of our dear husband, father, grandpa, and brother

Joshua F. Waldner

October 31, 1936—August 27, 2016

Joshua F. Waldner was born on October 31, 1936 at Roseisle Colony, Manitoba, Canada. He moved to Jamesville Colony S.D when he was nine months old, then to Clark Colony S.D. in 1955, when he was 19 years. He married Rebecca Waldner on June 23, 1963. They moved to Mayfield Colony in 1984. They were blessed with seven children, 35 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Joshua lived his life strong in his faith. So being organized and neat was very important to him. And in this way, he served the colony well in all he was called to do. His motto was: "Have a place, keep it on the place, it's always on the place." His favorite songs were: "Herr Wenn Ich Dich Nur Werde Haben", and "Ich Will Dich Lieben Meine St ä rke."

May we meet you on that golden shore!

So hat mein Leben nun ein Ende;

Ich ſ eh den himmel offen ſ tehn

Ach ja Gott reichet mir die h ä nde

Ich folg und will mit ihm eingehn

O ſü β e r anblick la β t mich fliehn

Ich kann nicht l ä nger mehr verziehn.
