John Wolf, age 83, Clark, died at the Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, today, Wednesday, March 8, 2006 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 10:30 AM in the St. Michael's Catholic Church at Clark with Fr. Bill Hamak officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery at Clark. The organist will be Eileen Heilman with Congregational Singing "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". Honorary casketbearers will be neighbors and friends. The active casketbearers will be Craig, Ron and Darvin Wolf, Gene Bethke, Terry Seiler and David Bjorklund. Visitation with a liturgical wake service will be held at 7PM on Friday evening at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning after 9:30 AM at the Church. He was born on January 13, 1923 at Zeeland, North Dakota, the son of Mathius and Caroline (Salwei) Wolf. He attended country school near Zeeland in the Berlin District School #13 where the family was farming. On November 4, 1947 he was united in marriage to Lena Welk at Hague, ND. His parents moved to a farm southwest of Raymond, SD in 1944. After John and Lena's marriage, they too moved to a farm southwest of Raymond and began farming. In 1976 they moved into Clark. John began to do seasonal work for Hofer Farms near Doland, something he did for some 24 years. He retired in 2000. He was a faithful member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark for many years. In recent years, he enjoyed making wind chimes, but second to none was his love of the land. Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife Lena of Clark, children, Dennis Wolf and wife Valerie of Brighton, CO, Carol Miliotes and husband David of Thornton, CO, Denita Uithoven and husband Dwight of Houston, TX, Richard Wolf and wife Leanne of New Salisbury, IN and Jerrilyn Wolf and husband Mike Locatis of Centennial, CO; 4 grandchildren, Mindy, Nikki, RJ and Gabriel, a great-grandson, Aiden Joseph and 11 siblings, Lillian Tracy of Sheldon, WA, William Wolf and wife Angie of Clark, George Wolf of Doland, Anton Wolf and wife Louise of Turner, OR, Angie Bjorklund and husband Loren of Estelline, SD, Elmer Wolf and wife Loretta of Aberdeen, Sister Amanda Wolf of Crookston, MN, Frances Diaz of Riverside, CA, Rosalita Wolf of Santa Ana, CA, Sister Teresa Ann Wolf of Canton, OH and Maxine McPherson and husband Joe of Poplar, MT.
