Jody Larsen

Jody Larsen, age 57, died with family at her side in her home on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Furness Funeral Home in Clark, SD and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Garden City Methodist Church in Garden City, SD with Pastor Brenda Wicks as officiant.

Jody was born in Pierre, SD on December 29, 1964 to parents Luela (Mortenson) and Eugene Tople. She was the youngest of seven children. She grew up in the Pierre area and met Mark Larsen who gave her 3 wonderful boys that were her whole life.

In 1989, Jody met the love of her life; Dan Poppen. They lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute together. She enjoyed watching her boys sporting events, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and riding her motorcycle.

Later in life; Jody was blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren that filled her heart with joy. She loved being a mother and a grandmother. Her family meant everything to Jody.

Preceding her in death are her father, Eugene Tople and sister, Linda Tople.

She is lovingly remembered by the love of her life, Dan Poppen; her sons, Brandon (Amanda) Larsen, Ryan (Sam) Larsen, and Shane Larsen; her grandchildren, Braidon, Alexas, and Braxton; her mother, Luela Tople, sister Carol (Bill) Kissner, brother Doug Tople, sister Betty Wagner, sister Lori (Don) Wilson, brother Tim Tople, and many other beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
