Jeremy R. Carroll, age 36, Topeka, KS, died on October 16, 2019, in the Stormont Vail Medical Center with family at his side, both near and far.
A Celebration of Life gathering Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1-3 PM at the Cyprus Hotel, 920 S Kansas Ave, Topeka, KS 66612. A Memorial Service will be held in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1PM with Reverends Warren Rhodes and Mark Tracy officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Jeremy Raymond Carroll, AKA "Worm," was born on November 19, 1982, at Wurzburg, Germany, the son of Charles R. and Elizabeth F. (Brown) Carroll. He attended schools in Watertown and Bradley and then was homeschooled through the eighth grade.
Jeremy married Heather Schmahl and to this union two children were born, Tiffany and Jacob Carroll. The marriage ended in a divorce.
Later on, Jeremy met Alyssa Loomis. They resided in Watertown, Brookings, Aurora, and Volga. Jeremy worked in Brookings as a manager at a carwash until Alyssa graduated from SDSU. Shortly after, they moved to Topeka, KS, in May of 2015.
On August 7, 2015 he was united in marriage to Alyssa Loomis at Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Jeremy and Alyssa welcomed their first child, Candace Rose, in 2018. Jeremy was a man of many trades. He loved his work and continued to bring the conversations home with him. He worked for Haas Metal Engineering (HME) as a foreman and an ironworker. He traveled to project sites, oversaw the crew, and helped build each project. In his free time, he enjoyed being with his family, whether it was just being outdoors, on the boat, fishing, hunting, grilling a steak dinner, or mowing the lawn. Jeremy also spent hours playing X-Box with his wife, especially Call of Duty, where they met many lifelong friends.
Survivors include his wife, Alyssa (Loomis) Carroll of Topeka, KS, their daughter, Candace, his children, Tiffany and Jacob Carroll, his mother, Elizabeth of Sisseton, father, Charles of Florida. Also surviving is a sister, Tia Triplett along with other half siblings, Chadwell, Carlos, Misty, Michael, and Gabriela.
