She attended grade school at Elrod and high school in Clark graduating in 1954. Following her high school education she worked for one year at J. H. She then worked for one year for the Clark Veterinary Clinic. The couple was living in the Garden City/Elrod areas until moving to a farm west of Bradley in 1964 where they raised Quarter horses and Hereford cattle. From 1964-1968 Jeanice was employed by the Bradley School District as a secretary. In 1968 they purchased the Modern Refrigerated Lockers at Bradley which they owned and operated for 25 years. In 2001 they sold the farm and moved into Clark. She has been living in her home until July of this year. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark. Some of her greatest joys in life included raising Quarter horses and Hereford cattle, gardening ' both raising flowers and vegetables and having that green thumb for raising ever blooming geraniums. Second to none though was her love of family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her great friends and her dog 'Misty'. Jeanice was also proud of the 5th generation pictures. Grateful for having shared in her life is her mother, Lola Alexander, her husband of over 52 years, Craig Rasmusson, a daughter Lori Dale and husband David all of Clark and a son Todd Rasmusson and wife Kristy of Burley, ID. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Judy Talsma of Sioux Falls and Sharon Tonak and husband Daryl of Clark. Preceding her in death is her father, Lloyd 'Buster' Alexander. Email a condolence at www.furnessfuneralhome.com God looked around His garden And He found an empty place. And then He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. ~author unknown~
