Mrs. Jean Francis Heinke, age 96, Bryant, SD, died late Thursday afternoon in the Parkview Care Center at Bryant where she had resided the past 3 years. She was a former resident of Bexley, OH. and was the mother of Sally (Mrs. Fred) Rosin of Bryant. Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 9AM in the Bryant Parkview Care Center with the Rev. Sue Grinde officiating and at Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley, OH on June 18th at 10:30 AM with the Reverend Timothy F. Iseringhausen officiating . Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus, OH. She was born on February 21, 1912 at her parents home in Kings Mills, OH, the only child of John Wood and Ella (Stapleton) Wilson. She graduated from Euclid (Ohio) High School and St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, OH. Jean married Clarence Heinke on Mary 1, 1944. They lived all but the first year of their marriage in Bexley, OH. Clarence preceded her in death in July of 1994. In 1974 she graduated from Capital University in Bexley. She was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley. She was also active in many community and Capital University organizations and was honored for many years as a Red Cross Blood Drive volunteer. Her beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Sally (Rev. Fred) Rosin of Bryant, SD, Linda Ann Heinke of Taos, NM and Karl (Cathy) Heinke of Thurman, OH, 6 grandchildren; Tammy (Bill) Garbe of Lewis Center, OH, Heidi Rosin of Sioux City, IA, Lisa (David) Brown of Hendersonville, TN, Sarah (Keith) Alberts of Belgrade, MT, Frederick Rosin of Minneapolis, MN and Willie (Jennifer) Rosin of Hampton, IA and 8 great-grandchildren.
