Jarett Larson, age 40, Watertown, the son of Rich and Darla (Fox) Larson of Aberdeen, formerly of Clark, died at the home of his parents early Saturday morning, October 29, 2016 from a sudden illness.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5-7 PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and will continue on Saturday morning, November 5, 2016 after 9AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clark.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark with the Reverend David Peterson officiating.  Honorary casketbearers will be Samantha Raile, Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Eureka High School Class of 1994, Midwestern Songwriters Alliance Members, Co-workers at Tel Ord, and Augusta Purvis Hagen. The active casketbearers will be Scott & Joshua Raile, Cliff Hagen, Dan Johnson, Landis Wald, Patrick Fischer, & Leland Harding III . The organist will be Dorothy Fuller with Scott Larson as soloist. Burial will follow in the Clark Center Lutheran Cemetery, northwest of Clark.  A dinner will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Church basement.

Jarett Dean Larson was born on May 16, 1976. His parents, Richard "Rich" and Darla (Fox) Larson moved in early years where he attended schools at Redfield and Hecla. Jarett graduated from Eureka High School. While in high school he was a 4 year all state chorus and orchestra and 3 year all state band member, receiving numerous music awards and an all-conference football player. He then attended SDSU and played in the Jacks marching band. Jarett also attended Lake Area Technical School in Watertown.

Hobbies included camping, bonfires, and watching professional wrestling.

His favorite accomplishment was playing at the Grand Ole Opry, it was a lifelong dream that he was able to accomplish.

Jarett, or JD Larson as many know him, traveled the highways and performed with numerous bands, artists and organizations. He played & sang on a countless number of recordings as a session musician and vocalist. He wrote undeniable songs. His talents in audio & video engineering, web design & sewing were amazing.

He had many personas, & his unequalled talents graced an uncountable number of states, stages & recordings from Anaheim, CA to Washington, DC. Here are just a few of the many…

Grateful for having shared in his life are his parents, Rich and Darla Larson of Aberdeen and a sister, Stephanie (Scott) Raile of Eureka. He also leaves a niece, Samantha Raile and a nephew, Joshua Raile, uncles, Don (Neva) Larson, Joe (Arlis) Fox of all of Sioux Falls, Sharon Brannan, Diane (Bill) Altfillisch, Dean Fox, all of Clark, Judy Christensen of Carpenter, Jan (Fox) Larson of Watertown
