(time to be announced later) She was born Janet Lou Adcock on July 28, 1941 at Superior, Nebraska, the daughter of Dale and Charleen (Holsteen) Adcock. At an early age the family moved to Nelson, NE where she started school with her Aunt Shirley being her Kindergarten teacher! As a young farm girl, Janet loved all the animals including the llamas, goats, and especially her horses. She rode for many years until losing her beloved horse, "George Lady" in the early 1980's. When she was in the 4th grade, the family moved to Deshler, NE and then to Superior, NE where she finished her schooling. Janet had begun playing the piano during the 6th grade, thoroughly enjoying music, even playing the chimes 'over the town' before and after church as well as played the church organ, and started giving piano and organ lessons, all of this when she was in the 6th grade. After high school, Janet attended Kansas State where she met and married Larry Caster. The couple was married on August 19, 1961 at the Methodist Church in Superior, NE and to this union three boys, Jeff, Jon and Joe, were born, all in Kansas. Following their marriage and after Larry's graduation from veterinary school they moved to Beloit, KS. In the next years they lived in several Kansas communities including Concordia, Wichita, Hutchinson and again in Beloit. In the early 1970's they moved to Clark where Larry bought a veterinary practice where Janet assisted in the office. She was very active with the three boys and their sporting events, taking them all over for wrestling tournaments, as well as being an integral part of the Methodist Church, playing the organ for nearly every function. The couple divorced in 1985. In 1987 Janet began a successful career in the real estate profession, and has continued that until her death. She had owned and operated her own office and later became partner in a firm, all in Watertown where she was living. As time progressed and she became more involved in real estate in the Clark area, Janet returned to Clark where she has lived since. In addition to her three sons, Janet semi-adopted another family in Clark, Brad, Desi and Baylar Lamb, a young couple that really became a daughter she never had and another son, actually nick naming him Jrad! Janet enjoyed traveling to see her sons and grandchildren these past few years. Some of her hobbies included horseback riding, reading, gardening, photography, technology and playing the piano and organ. Grateful for having shared in her life are her sons, Jeff (Carrie) Caster of Mount Dora, FL; Jon (Jennifer) Caster of Nacogdoches, TX and Joe (Chrystal) Caster of Watertown, SD; 9 grandchildren, Shauna, Joshua, Sabrina, Hayden, Mason, Jake, Abbey, Jagger, and Jazzmin; her parents, Dale and Charleen Adcock of Superior, NE and a brother, Tom (Rita) Adcock and daughter Becky all of Hayes, KS.
