It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jake Douglas Guest, who departed this life on October 31, 2025 at the age of 48. He was born on March 12, 1977 to John Guest, Sr. and Janet (Spiczka) Guest.
Jake attended Clark School, participated in FFA and graduated in 1996. Growing up, Jake had many career aspirations including BMX racer, bull rider, radio DJ, and a professional WWE wrestler. In adulthood, he worked several local jobs including McCain's, construction, farming, and food service until his health complications prevented him from continuing employment.
Jake was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Church in Clark.
Growing up Jake wrestled and played football and baseball. Jake was an avid bowler and a walking statistician for nearly all other sports. He was semi-pro video-gamer. If you needed a gaming console, he had them all. He was the biggest fan of professional wrestling. He loved all genres of music and could quickly "name that tune". He loved fishing and researching the latest techniques for catching the biggest bass. Jake compiled impressive collections of baseball cards, movies, CDs, and fishing tackle. He was a loyal member of the Raiders Nation.
Jake loved to spoil his nieces and nephews, always thinking of what treats and gifts to buy them.
Jake cherished all of the hours and miles of road trips with his dad and Gus riding around in the pickup and loved pranking his mom.
He is survived by his parents, John and Janet Guest, brother John Guest, Jr. (Rocky Guest), sister Jenny Guest (Steve Barber), nieces and nephews Riley Guest, Anna Guest, Griffin Wellnitz, Ella Wellnitz, Dion Helgelien, Dylan Helgelien, aunt Judy, uncle Jim Guest (Doris), uncle Mike Jenkins (Rose), uncle Don, many cousins, all of his other "moms", and countless friends. Jake was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Bill and Dorothy, maternal grandparents Sam and Esther, uncle Joe, aunt Rose, aunt Geri, aunt Sherry.
A visitation service will be held on November 11 at Furness Funeral Home, beginning at 5:00-7:00 with funeral service to follow at 7:00. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Jake's life. Please dress casually as Jake would have shown up in his overalls and black shoes. If you are one of Jake's "Raiders Nation" friends, feel free to wear Raiders colors. A private family interment will take place at a future date.
