Imogene Neill, age 92, the widow of Clarence "Zoom" Neill,  formerly of Clark, died Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society of Miller with family by her side. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 4-6 PM at the Furness Funeral Home at Clark and after 10 AM at the Church in Clark on Thursday morning.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark with the Reverend Daniel Smith celebrating.  Music will be provided by Diane Varilek and Bonnie Graves.  Casket bearers will be Andrew Neill, Steve Schantzen, Courtney Schantzen, William (Bill) McGreevy, Thomas Werlinger, and Mike Loofe.  Honorary casket bearers will be the staff of Wookey's Assisted Living Center of Clark and the staff of Good Samaritan Society of Miller. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Imogene Sanders was born on July 31, 1925 at Rosalie, NE, the daughter of Ethmer W. and Florence (Doyle) Sanders. She attended school in Rosalie and South Sioux City, NE where she graduated from in 1943.

On July 12, 1945, she married Clarence (Zoom) Neill in Walthill, NE. They made their home in South Sioux City until Zoom was transferred to Madison, SD where they and their two sons lived for one year.  In 1957 they moved to Clark where Imogene worked for Bert Moritz at the Clark County Courier for many years.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Clark, the Altar Society, and she taught catechism.  Imogene was a member of the Clark Golf Club for many years. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching professional tennis and Nebraska Cornhuskers football on TV, and visiting with family and friends.

Among survivors grateful for having shared in her life are a son, Richard J. (Peggy) Neill of Pierre; daughter-in-law, Donna Neill; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Benjamin, Marie, Rachel, Courtney, Stefanie and Andrew; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Miller Murray of American Canyon, CA.; and a brother, James (Gloria) Sanders of Alta, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Dennis L. Neill; sister Lola (John) Higgs and a brother-in-law, Vern Miller.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Boniface Cemetery, c/o St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark.
