Idella attended school at Crocker through the 8th grade and then went to high school at Bradley, graduating in 1954. After graduation she worked in Webster until her marriage. On December 24, 1955 she was united in marriage to Maynard Morehouse in Crocker. After their marriage they lived at Ft. Sill, OK until Maynard was discharged in February of 1957. After his discharge, the couple moved to Bristol where she was a home maker for six years. Then they moved to Bradley where they have lived since. While living in Bradley, she was the bookkeeper of the Bradley Grain and also was a bank teller at Citizens State Bank until she retired. Idella loved doing crafts, sewing, crocheting afghans, quilting and traveling to craft shows. Some other fond moments were spent going to sporting events that her children and grandchildren were participating in. She enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flower beds and doing yard work. In the late summer, early fall, you could find her in the kitchen canning garden vegetables for her children and making dill pickles. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary both at Bradley. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Leland and Harvey Post and two brother-in-laws, Stanley Novak and Raymond Lehna. Grateful for having shared her life is her husband of over 55 years, Maynard of Bradley, five children, Daniel "Shine" (Marie) Morehouse of Las Vegas, NV, Glenn (Sharon) Morehouse of Fargo, ND, Gail (Terry) Evenson of Willow Lake, Nina Smith and fiancé David Hoops of Ferney, SD and Pam Siefkin of Conde, SD; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren.
