Holly W. Reiner, age 100, Watertown, formerly of Clark, died in her daughter's home at Watertown on Tuesday morning, June 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11AM in the Furness Funeral Home Chapel at Clark with visitation beginning at 9:30AM. The Reverend Kathy Hibbert will officiate. Music will be presented by Wendy Christman. Wendell and Harlan Bruns, Les Nortug, Jr and Rodney Gruenwald will serve as casketbearers. Following the services a luncheon will be held in the reception area of the funeral home. Burial in the Prairie Valley Cemetery at Raymond will follow. She was born Holly Wilma Hurlbert on December 21, 1914 at Regan, ND, the eldest daughter of William and Hazel (Cohenour) Hurlbert. At a young age she moved with her family to Raymond, SD. She attended Raymond School through the eighth grade. Her Mother was ill as she grew to adulthood so she assisted in the care of her sisters, Violet and Mayme. On August 1, 1955 she was united in marriage to Arthur Reiner in Montana. The couple lived in Montana where Holly worked for many years in various jobs including working in Glacier National Park, a care center and a school in Havre. She took pride in whatever work she needed to do. Her husband died in the late 1970's and is buried in the Veterans National Cemetery in Montana. In October of 1996, she moved with her daughters family from Montana to Clark. She has lived in Clark since that time until moving to Watertown to live with her daughter a few years ago. Holly was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clark where she also participated in its ladies groups including circle, WELCA, the sewing and quilting groups. Holly also enjoyed serving and assisting with the funeral serving committee. In her free moments she enjoyed embroidering dish towels, care taking of plants, watching NASCAR races, reading her Bible and other religious materials and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards at the Clark Senior Center. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son-in-law, Les Nordtug, Sr., grandchildren, Leshia Gruenwald and Layne Nordtug and sisters, Violet Bruns Winemiller and Mayme Cooper. Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Nordtug Evans and a son, William E. Reiner, both of Watertown, Grandchildren, Les Nordtug, Jr. and Robyn Reiner, Great-grandchildren, Lauryn and Rodney Gruenwald and a great-great grandson, Tryton.
