Mr. Herbert "Herb" Weeks, age 80, a lifelong resident of Watertown died early this morning, December 31, 2005 in a Watertown care center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 1PM in the First Baptist Church at Watertown with the Reverend Greg Berkey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Watertown. Eloise Falk will provide the music. The congregation will sing "How Great Thou Art". Casketbearers will be Robert, Tom and Jack Weeks and Gary Suman. He was born at Watertown on December 16, 1925, the son of William and Ethel (Lohr) Weeks. He was schooled in Watertown. Following his schooling he worked for various business places in Watertown among them being for Albert DeVille where he worked as a custodian. He attended the First Baptist Church at Watertown. Some of his hobbies included fishing and listening to western music. Second to none though was his love of driving his car around the area. Survivors include a stepson Wayne Weeks of Sioux Falls, and 8 siblings, Evelyn Wakefield of Burnsville, MN, Ernest Weeks of Watertown, Gladys Reeve of Rapid City, Stella Suman of Watertown, Glen Weeks and wife Shirley of Moorhead, MN, Jack Weeks, Shirley Krull and Mary Lou Weeks all of Watertown. Preceding him in death were his parents and a stepson Dan Weeks Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services in the Church.
