Herbert Schoepp

Herbert Schoepp, age 83, died at Prarie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, South Dakota on Friday, April 8, 2022.

Graveside services will be held June 21, 2022 at 2 pm at the Henry Catholic Cemetery in Henry, SD.

Herbert "Herb" Schoepp was born January 5, 1939 to parents Charles and Catherine "Nellie" (Redmond) Schoepp in Henry, SD. He attended Henry School through 8th grade.  His passion from a young age was farming. Herb was busy helping with farmwork from his teen years to his late 70s.  He was a farmer through and through with a big heart and helping hands. He worked for several area farmers and for a time, for his brother at the Cock of the Walk men's clothing store in Watertown.

Herb was well-known around Clark for his friendly smile and he was a regular customer at various businesses including the Corner Diner where the staff knew he was one of the nicest guys and last dinner customers for the day. They truly enjoyed his company and will miss him. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards with the guys and visiting with the crew.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers Donald (Margarite), Calvin (Lois) and Robert (Dorothy) Schoepp.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his nieces and nephews, Diane York, Kevin (Linda) Schoepp all of Watertown, Doug (Stephanie Raasch) Schoepp of Henry, Karen (Tom) Miller of Iroquois, Gary (Tondi) Schoepp of Chanhassen, MN, Tim (Sharon) Schoepp of Dell Rapids, Scott (Melanie) Schoepp of Ellsworth, WI, Lori (Dennis) Klinkhammer of Albany, MN, Jim Schoepp and Colleen (Bruce) Hestad all of Watertown, Mary Ann Cronk of Boise, ID, Steve (Mary) Schoepp of Sioux Falls; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are with the Furness Funeral Home at Clark where there is an on-line registry at www.furnessfuneralhome.com
